On 18 & 19 January Amsterdammers take a staycation during Hotelnacht. Throughout the weekend there are dozens of creative and culinary hotel parties and locals can spend the night in one of the 40 best hotels in the city. Beethovenstraat is partner for this popular hotel festival.
Pack your suitcase, get on your bike and check in a few blocks away at the Conservatorium Hotel, the Pulitzer, Okura or one of the other forty most special hotels in Amsterdam. That is what Hotelnacht is about. This year the central theme is music, so you can dance from hotel to hotel. There are various music parties, such as a hip-hop party at the hotel bar Super Lyan, a temporary champagne-jazz club from Moët & Chandon, a botanical pool party at Hotel Jakarta, a clownish circus festival in the Koepelkerk of Renaissance or a silent disco in Conscious Westerpark. You can go dancing in a cocktail club at Park Plaza Victoria or singing Asian karaoke in Taiko Bar. On Sunday, Hotelnacht ends with a tango jazz in the famous Café Americain.
You can also do various workshops, such as making your own Marie-Stella-Maris room spray at BOAT & CO, cocktails and luxury suitcase labels at NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky or doing a cooking workshop at Okura. On Sunday there are various Hotel night brunches at INK Hotel, the brand new Yotel, QO Amsterdam, Hyatt Regency, Van der Valk Amstel and Lloyd.
