It’s almost time for the sixth edition of ARTZUID. You’ll be able to admire more than 60 sculptures and spatial installations from 17th May to 15th September.
The heart of the biennial sculpture exhibition will be in Berlage’s monumental Plan Zuid, which the Beethovenstraat forms part of. Theatrical arrangements of modern and contemporary figurative sculptures have been set up in the green space. These are alternated with interactive spatial installations.
The square route, with works of art which specifically link into the neighbourhood’s history, culture and architecture, is new to the exhibition this year. In addition, solo presentations by internationally renowned artists mark the 2.5 kilometre route from the Museumplein to the Zuidas.
ARTZUID includes an extensive side programme with, to name but a few, artist talks, art walks and happenings. The exhibition is free of charge and open 24/7.
